Assessments

Assessments at key milestones throughout the academic year are vital for tracking progress, identifying learning gaps, and ensuring students in Years 7, 8, and 9 are building a robust foundation for their upper-school studies.

To support them through these pivotal check-ins, targeted revision materials and resources are provided across core disciplines - including English, Maths, and Science - as well as foundational humanities and languages like Geography, History, and Spanish.

These scheduled evaluations not only help teachers tailor their instruction to the needs of each cohort but also empower students to develop effective, independent study habits early in their secondary education.

2026 End of Year Assessments

Our End of Year Assessments for students in Years 7-9 (KS3) will take place from Monday 15 June to Friday 26 June 2026. To help support students in preparing for these assessments, we have included revision materials for the following subjects:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Science
  • Geography
  • History
  • Spanish

Please note that some assessments for subjects outside of those listed above will be practical- or skills-based and so will not require students to revise specific content.

To support you and your child in preparing for these important End of Year Assessments, we would like to invite you to an Assessment Information Evening on Thursday 04 June 2026 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. During this event, we will provide further information about how assessments will be implemented and ways you can support your child with Solo Study and preparing to perform at home.

These assessments will inform the group your child will be in for Maths and Science next year, and will be used for other subjects to update the taught curriculum next year. Therefore, it is important that all students engage with Solo Study and revise regularly over the coming weeks, making full use of the resources provided.
